Every student has a story to be told; one that a college admissions staff will want to hear.

I offer students and their families a safe harbor in the tsunami that is the college application process.

From brainstorming topics for their personal statements, to polishing their brilliant and inspired final drafts, I support students through the entire process.

For some students college essays can seem like the Mt. Everest of writing assignments, but I break it down into a series of straightforward actionable steps. We will tackle the personal statement, the activities list, the additional information section and any other supplemental essays required by each college on their list. It is a fair amount of writing, but with a systematic approach, it is not insurmountable.

“When asked, ‘How do you write?’ I invariably answer, ‘one word at a time.’”

Stephen King

The completed application they submit is an authentic and balanced reflection of who they are as unique individuals and represents what they can offer to their desired schools.

Other students may be further along and just want another pair of eyes to review and offer constructive feedback on their essays. I can review their work, help them correct any grammatical errors, and make suggestions to bolster their writer’s craft. Most importantly, a thorough review of their entire application will ensure that all of their talents, identity, personality, and values are shining through.

“Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”

Anton Chekhov

The admissions teams need a clear picture to visualize each applicant on their campus in order to add them to their incoming class; students’ applications need to provide that vision for potential acceptance.

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

Winston Churchill

“Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It’s the one and only thing you have to offer.”

Barbara Kingslover

“The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.”
Dorothy Parker

"Write your first draft with your heart. Rewrite with your head." Mike Rich
